The Ministry of Transportation and Transit will be undertaking a seal coat surfacing project in your area this summer.
Seal Coating will be taking place on Summit Lake Road (between both intersections of Hwy 97) and on Adams Road.
Some other works will be done ahead of the seal coat which include crack sealing and pulverizing of existing roadway in areas of distress.
Sealcoating is anticipated to begin the week of July 20th.
The estimated duration of all the works is approximately 4 weeks.
Please keep travel speeds down to minimize or prevent flying rocks and stones. Dust can be expected through the course of construction and immediately afterwards.
The project will have Pilot Car assisted traffic control in effect during the seal coat operations with delays of up to 20 minutes. Please watch for workers and obey traffic control. Visit www.drivebc.ca or call 1-800-550-4997 for specific information regarding delays and closures.
There are specific regulations for traffic through seal coat projects. Please refer to the attached information sheet on what Seal Coating is and how it may impact your drive.

Hall Work "B"
The work “B” that was done this past weekend was a huge success and lots of work around the hall was completed.
Some of the work done was as follows:
Inside the Hall
Cleaning of the floor
Cleaning of windows
Cleaning of refrigerators
Cleaning of cupboards
Organizing of under stage storage
Cleaning of outhouses
Installation of fire extinguishers
Installation of emergency exit signs
Leveling of the hall support piers
Removal of brush and debris from around the hall
Installation of new flags
Mowing of both the field and lawn adjacent the hall
Rework of main hall entrance with updated wheelchair access ramp
